Dr. Duk Kim
President & Program Committee Chair
Dr. Duk Kim is an Associate Professor of Political Science at St. Ambrose University and an International Relations specialist who teaches and writes in the field of international politics. He obtained his PhD from from University of Missouri.
Born and raised in the Quad Cities, Tori Drews holds an M.S. in Library Sciences and a Specialization in Community Informatics from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As illustrated in her educational background, she is passionate about engaging our diverse QC community. Currently, she works at the East Moline Public Library as a librarian.

Timothy Bladel holds a BA in Journalism & Political Science minor from St. Ambrose University. He obtained an MS in Communications from Purdue University’s Brian Lamb School of Communication. He has worked in advertisement, journalism and the nonprofit sector.
Dr. Jeffrey Ratliff-Crain
Jeff is Associate Dean for Curriculum and Enrichment and Professor of Psychology at Augustana College. Arriving in the Quad Cities from Minnesota in 2013, he has lived on four coasts in the U.S. (Pacific coast in California; Gulf coast in Louisiana; Atlantic coast in D.C.; the North coast (Lake Erie) in Ohio). Jeff received his BS in Psychology from The Ohio State University and Ph.D. in Medical Psychology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (the military's medical university in Bethesda, MD).
Ferdaus Ahmad is a physicist and engineer by academic training. She is currently teaching at Black Hawk College. She was a mentor for the National Science Foundation sponsored by the Women in Science and Engineering (WSE) program WSU in Michigan and was awarded the Rosa Parks-Chavez mentorship award.
Her current involvement includes providing leadership support for interfaith dialogues and helping young girls develop leadership skills through the Islamic Center of the Quad Cities.
